ARTICLES OF CHARTER
By
Dominion Charter, issued December 11, 1925, Weiller and Williams Company,
Limited was empowered as follows:
to buy, sell and otherwise deal in cattle, hogs, sheep, poultry and
all other livestock and products thereof. To act as agents; commission
agents; brokers and representatives for producers of and dealers in
livestock and the products thereof; to engage sub-agents and correspondents
in connection with the said business;
to
carry on the business of exporters and importers of meat, live
cattle, hogs, sheep, poultry and all other livestock; and also
that of dealers in cattle, hogs, sheep, poultry and other livestock
generally; and in all branches of such respective trades or businesses
and to carry on business as farmers, millers, and market gardeners;
to
buy and sell by wholesale or retail in the Dominion of Canada
or elsewhere all kinds of meat and generally to carry on the business
of a meat salesman in all its branches;
to
slaughter cattle, pigs and sheep;
to
acquire or purchase or otherwise ranches and farms and to carry
on the trade or business of rearing cattle, hogs, sheep, horses
and other livestock; tanning and warehousing generally; dealers
in hides, tallow, fat, grease, offal and other animal products,
and preserved meats manufacturing;
to
deal in and produce dairy farm and garden produce of all kinds;
to
erect and build abattoirs, freezing houses, slaughter houses,
packing houses, warehouses, sheds and other buildings necessary
or expedient for the purposes of the company.
